faqs:
What is the Heritage Festival?
A celebration of the rich cultural diversity that is represented at our school. It is an opportunity for us to come together as a community to share our heritage, and learn about where we all come from.
I want to make and bring a cultural display. How can I get started?
The PTA has a limited number of trifold poster boards that can be used for student displays. Email heritagefestival@lfppta.org if you want to claim one.
Need ideas on what to include in your display? Ms. Rigsby has prepared a template with examples for sections you could include. These can be printed out and glued or taped onto the board.
You can also bring props to set in front of your display (i.e. a flag, tchotchkes, photos, clothing items, food, costumes, etc.).
What types of live entertainment will be provided?
We have invited two local dance groups to perform for us: a Bollywood-style dance group, and a Baile Folklorico group that includes a former LFPE student!
What should I bring to share at the potluck?
Any non-alcoholic food or drink. It can be store-bought or made at home. If necessary, please bring serving utensils.
What types of activities will there be?
Imagine Children’s Museum will provide a rich cultural experience with fun for the whole family. Families will travel the world to discover traditions, play games and make crafts from other countries with 10 different activity stations.
How can I help?
We need many volunteers to make this event a success! We’ll need help with set up and clean up, with organizing the potluck, and with leading the Imagine arts/crafts/game stations. Signup Genius link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040D4CA9AD28AB9-47337942-lfpheritage
