The vision of the Lake Forest Park PTA is to promote high standards
for the education and welfare of the children in the Lake Forest Park
Elementary School community and the larger Shoreline School District
community.
Steps we take to promoting the mission:
- Promote and support enrichment opportunities for the education, health and safety of students, staff, and parents.
- Encourage family involvement in PTA, Lake Forest Park Elementary School, and community activities.
- Advocate for the care and education of children and to keep our membership and community informed regarding legislative issues.
- Strengthen involvement and outreach with other schools and the larger community.
- Create a safe learning environment for all children.
Our Goals
- Increase community involvement.
- Increase time-saving technology ideas.
- Increase family greeting and school year kick-off by hosting two new events prior to the beginning of school.
- Increase and improve transparency to all constituents (parents,
teachers, and children) who support the PTA about all fundraising
activities, through educational materials not part of regular budget
reporting and sent directly to all families.
- Create a new “green” fundraising campaign that encourages awareness
within each Lake Forest Park family of how they can make a difference in
their community and provide the opportunity to purchase items that
support this platform, focusing on reducing, reusing, and recycling.
- Reach out to our local community businesses and ask them to show their support through PTA membership.
- Expand our coverage of membership activities to our school yearbook and billboards to advertise PTA presence at our school.
- Strive to offer a foreign language class, art class, and a sport class each of the three seasons this school year.
