Stefanie Thomas will be joining us to discuss social media sites that are popular with tweens and teens, steps we can take to monitor our students’ online presence and keep them safe, plus she’ll review with us the message that she’ll be giving to our LFP 4th – 6th graders on May 25 about staying safe on social media sites.
Stefanie Thomas is an internet safety expert that has worked with law enforcement for the past 8 years regarding the exploitation of children online. She uses this experience to educate parents and children about internet safety and has reached over 30,000 in the greater Seattle area. This parents-only event is free to parents with students at any grade level; childcare will not be provided. To request a translator or other accommodation, please email LFP PTA co-presidents Sheena Hurley & Michelle Fogerty.
