We need a volunteer to step up and organize a spring “spruce” of the school grounds. We have some exciting ideas of how we can round up enough people to really make our school look super. Time commitment will be about 10 hours including the event, currently scheduled for late April.
We are looking for a Co-Chair for the Talent Show for this year. This is a fun, popular, event scheduled in mid-May. Work with the existing chair to register students, organize and run rehearsals and manage the event. Time commitment is between 15 and 20 hours including the event.
Does your student love science? Consider helping out at the Student Science Fair! We are looking for volunteers to help with everything including set up, judging student entries, break down and helping feed some tired but happy volunteers with pizza at the end of the night – the pizza’s on us! Time commitment would be about 5 hours on the night of the event. If you think you can lend a helping hand please contact Nik Dembrow and Zin Khaing at [email protected].
We have a great event for anyone who’s ever wanted to help smash a bunch of eggs. We need a couple of volunteers to help put together the kits for the students, drop the eggs and record the results. This event is a true student favorite and a ton of fun! We’re also looking for someone who could shadow the current event chair with an eye towards taking over the egg drop for the next year or two. Time commitment is about 8 – 10 hours including putting the kits together and the event itself.
Pack the Park Committee
We are searching for 2-3 volunteers to join the Pack the Park Committee. This is a fun, exciting, and competitive annual event! Work with representatives from Brookside to plan and run this community favorite in support of Friday Food Packs.
Walk to School Co-Chair
We are still on the hunt for a Co-Chair for our Walk-to-School program. Let’s encourage students who don’t live within the walking boundaries to walk to school once a week and help establish healthy habits!
