2017-2018 Volunteer Opportunities

Your kids love seeing you at school, and so do we! Check out some of the volunteer opportunities for next year.

First Day of School Co-Chair – Shadow the fabulous Heidi Durall this coming fall and learn how to organize the packet stuffing, transportation coding, and greeters. We’re looking for someone to learn the ropes this coming year and then be ready to take over the following year. This is a great job for someone who has availability the week prior to school starting and can be at school on Sept. 6, the first day of school.

Student Directory – Using data collected by the school office, help us to create and distribute our Student Directory done from September through November). This role is perfect for a stay-at-home parent who doesn’t have a lot of availability to be at the school, but would like an opportunity to get involved.

Reflections Co-Chair – Do you love the arts? Consider being a Co-Chair on our Reflections committee. Advertise and promote this event, a National PTA Art Contest, by designing /distributing flyers, organize the reception to celebrate participants, and arrange for category judges. This event operates for about 20 hours September through January.

Walking Wednesdays Co-Chair – We are looking for an energetic volunteer to Co-Chair our Walking Wednesdays program. The time commitment is 2-10 hours a month, year-round. Determine routes, recruit parents, make and distribute registration form, promote through Dolphin Blast, newsletter, and oversee all aspects of program.

Rebates – Help us promote the Thriftway receipts fundraising program! Includes promoting via blast and newsletter, collecting receipts from school office, and tallying on a spreadsheet. The time commitment is about 3 hours a month, and is great for a working or stay at home parent!
